Customer Frequently Asked Questions

Since each shed we sell is made to order, it can be hard to provide a quote without discussing your needs first. We recommend calling us, or filling out our Contact Form first. Then, a Design Consultant can provide a free quote after discussing your options.

Our commitment to you is that we will take responsibility for any manufacture related deficiencies for five years. We stand by our products, provided that your structure is placed on a level stone pad.

We recommend a crushed-stone pad that is at least 4″- 6″ deep to provide adequate drainage. To learn more, view our Site Preparation page.

You are responsible for either preparing the site or hiring a contractor to prepare the site for you before your structure is delivered. We can recommend trusted local contractors if desired.

We normally deliver and install our buildings fully assembled. In the event there is insufficient access to your site, or the structure is too large to be on the road, we are able to deliver the shed in a kit form, and build it on-site for you. There is an additional charge for this service. You can read more about the delivery process on our “Shed Delivery Process” page.

Most townships and municipalities require a basic permit to install a shed or garage. Proximity to property lines and height restrictions are some things to keep in mind when getting your permit.

Delivery time frame varies dependent on time of year and the structure ordered, but generally runs between a few weeks for more basic buildings, up to two months or more for large, custom installations.

For more information on what to expect on delivery day, please see our Shed Delivery Process page

Absolutely! All of our structures are made to order. We offer some pre-designed styles to start from, but your structure can be totally custom if you wish.

We offer several different shed styles, from our entry level A-Frame, a fan favorite Garden Shed to Garages and Custom Pool Houses.  If you can dream it, we can build it!

Yes! If you’re replacing an existing shed we can haul the old one away for a disposal fee. This only applies when purchasing a new structure, and we cannot dispose structures without delivering a new one.

Financing Questions

We do! We offer two monthly payment options through Hearth Financial Services or Smartpay Rentals. For more details on this service, or to fill out an application, view our financing page.

Rent-to-own is an affordable way to get the attractive backyard building you want – but without the large lump sum expense. The low up-front cost makes it easy to get started. You can select the length, or term, of the agreement that keeps the monthly rental payments within your budget. (Thirty-six months is the most common term.) When completing the payments in the term you officially own the building. No additional out of pocket cost is required.

Yes. You may exercise an Early Purchase Option (EPO) at any point in your agreement, though you need to be current on your rental payments at that time. The last page of your agreement has a chart showing what your EPO payment would be according to the number of payments made on the account. Or, you are welcome to contact our office and we’ll be glad to provide your specific EPO price. Please be aware that an EPO payment must be made in a lump sum before the next monthly payment
comes due; it cannot be broken down into multiple payments. Once we receive your EPO payment we will send you a letter noting that your account is complete and you own the structure.

No. In fact, SmartPay gives you a discount over what the future rental payments would be when taking advantage of the EPO.

Probably yes, depending on which state you live in. (Laws vary by state.) As is typical with most rental agreements, the up-front payment includes a security deposit for performance of the terms of the rental agreement. Your security deposit is given back to you when you complete the agreement by being applied you your last payment.

To move a building to another location, contact our office with the new address. Moving must be done by an authorized SmartPay dealer. We will contact the dealer and authorize them to move the building for you. You are responsible for all the costs of moving the building.

With Hearth Financing, lenders will compete for your business.  You are then able to select the interest rate and plan that works best for you.

Rent-to-own is a rental agreement with the option to purchase; it is not a loan. Like other rental agreements it does not operate on principal and interest calculations. Your monthly payment is a rental payment.
